The proposed tax rate for the upcoming year is set to remain constant at $0.60000 per $100 of value, identical to last year’s rate. This proposal indicates no percentage increase or decrease in the tax rate itself.

However, due to changes in property appraisals, the average residence homestead value has risen from $252,716 last year to $268,838 this year, leading to an increase in the projected tax bill from $1,516.29 to $1,613.02, which equates to a 6.37% annual increase in taxes if the proposed rate is adopted.
